The AutoSprite REST API lets you create characters, generate animations, and export sprite sheets programmatically — from any language that can make an HTTPS request. Build custom asset pipelines, wire generation into your game's build, or automate batch jobs.
API access is included with a subscription plan. Create and manage your keys on the API Keys page.

Authentication
Every request takes your secret key, which starts with vspk_. Pass it in the x-api-key header (recommended) or as a Bearer token:

The workflow
Generation is a short, asynchronous loop: create a character, request animations, then poll the job until the sprite sheet is ready.
Create a character

Poll the job, then download

When the job reaches succeeded, the response includes the sprite sheet IDs. Fetch a sheet to get its PNG and atlas download URLs.
Keep your API key secret. Never commit it to version control or ship it in client-side code.
